Crathorne Hall, Yarm, North Yorkshire is a magnificent venue and I had a great day there recently when I photographed the wedding of Phillip & Melissa.
When these guys came to see me over a year ago to talk about their plans, we hit it off immediately and since then we’ve had loads of contact and I’ve photographed them on a pre-wedding shoot too.
This was my first time at Crathorne Hall and I absolutely loved it. The venue has everything for the perfect wedding.
Melissa looked stunning in her dress, along with her bridesmaid and mum who both dressed in similar subtle tones adding extra elegance to the appearance of the bridal party.
Phillip and all the guys were really dapper in their three piece navy suits. Later on in the day they all wore dark sunglasses in a nod to Phillip’s fondness of the Blues Brothers.
The day was full of amazing details. The flowers were nothing short of epic! The Design Studio of Cherster-Le-Street really worked hard to produce such wonderful displays. The Cake Garden, Ellington, Northumberland delivered the goods as usual with an amazing cake which seemed perfectly in keeping with the palatial surroundings.
Andy Larmouth, Magician Entertainer was on hand to entertain the guests after the ceremony whilst a harpist provided beautiful background music in the gardens.
Phillip & Melissa were surrounded by their lovely family and friends and the atmosphere was superb. They couldn’t have asked for better weather up until the evening’s secret surprise fireworks display when there was a brief downpour. This however didn’t stop play and everyone really enjoyed the display, especially the bride and groom who had no idea it was going to happen.
It really was a wonderful day spent with a truly fantastic couple. I wish Phillip & Melissa the very best for their married future together.
Below are some of my favourite images from the day.
