Cake Smash

Cake-smash shoot for your babies first birthday

I take pride on providing cake-smash shoots that are more classy than those  average high street ones. I use backgrounds with pastel, earthy tones instead of the usual garish vivid blues, pinks or yellows. You won’t find shiny balloons, pointy party hats or bow ties here. Just great looking, toned backdrops and an emphasis on your child’s expressions rather than one big tacky mess!

Every booking is customised (the cake, the backdrops and the props) to ensure you’re getting something unique. The shoot lasts around one hour and is divided in 3 parts:

The Portrait: start of session to get your little one used to me and the camera.

The Cake: the messy, fun part of your session.

The Bath: they get nice and clean and splash around in bubble bath.

All of this ensures you get a good range of images to choose from.

This includes preparation of the session, use of props and backdrops, private online gallery and professional editing.

The USB with all the images from your session (approx 50) costs £200

Please note that p&p charges will be added if you require delivery.

What you need to bring:

A cake. Nothing too bright or tacky looking! I’ll provide a cake stand. (I can provide a cake for a surcharge £15)

An outfit for your child to wear for the first part of the session.

I can provide pettiskirts, lace rompers and headbands for girls for the cake smash part of the session but you’ll need to bring along a plain baby grow if you have a boy.

Cake smashes are VERY messy so the children have a nice warm bath at the end of the session (towels provided); you are welcome to bring baby wipes or your own towel if you prefer.

Please ask first if you would like to bring and include other siblings in the session as there may be a surcharge. If you’d like to discuss the cake-smash experience further or to make a booking please get in touch via 07876026699/

The session takes place at my home studio in Cramlington, Northumberland.
